Software for UK courier and same-day companies
Run the whole firm on one system.
Lodway is the operating system for courier companies. Quoting, dispatch, drivers, compliance, tracking and invoicing in one place — under your name, at your web address. Your customers never see ours.
One driver cannot be allocated — insurance expired 2 days ago

1. Customers quote and book online
Your prices, worked out on the spot from your own rate card. Guests can pay by card before it's booked; business accounts book on credit.
None of it is the driving
The driving is the part your firm is good at. Everything that costs you money happens in the hour either side of it.
About an hour a day
“Where is my delivery?”
The phone goes all morning and every call takes a dispatcher off the board to look something up.
Every job gets a tracking link the moment it is booked, and the customer is emailed or texted as it moves. The answer arrives before the question.
Quietly, on every job
Prices live in someone's head
The quote depends on who picks up the phone. New staff undercharge, and nobody finds out until the month is over.
Your rate card prices every quote — vehicle, mileage bands, waiting time, surcharges, fuel, VAT — and shows its working.
Found out after invoicing
You cover a job that loses money
Especially subcontracted work: the price came in over the phone and the cost turned up on someone else's invoice three weeks later.
The board shows what the job pays and what it costs before you allocate it. Covering a job becomes a decision, not a hope.
One claim
A driver's insurance lapsed
Nobody noticed until something happened. The certificate was in an inbox, and the reminder was in somebody's head.
Documents sit against the driver with expiry dates, and an out-of-date one blocks allocation outright. A gate, not a report nobody reads.
Every disputed delivery
PODs are in a WhatsApp group
Then a phone gets replaced, or the group is cleared, and the proof for a £900 consignment is gone.
Signature and photo are captured in the driver app, attached to the job, and stay there. Six months later you send the proof in a minute.
A week a month
Invoicing is retyping
Somebody rebuilds the month from a job sheet, a diary and a bank statement. Things get missed, and some get billed twice.
Invoices are generated from the jobs you actually delivered, on each client's agreed terms. Nothing retyped, so nothing missed.
The whole job, end to end
From the phone ringing to the invoice going out — one system, so nothing is retyped between the steps and nothing falls between them.
Quoting
One price, whoever answers the phone
Your own rate card does the arithmetic — vehicle class, real drive time, tapered mileage bands, waiting time, congestion and fuel. Customers can quote and book themselves on your site, and the number they get is the one you would have given them.

Drivers
An app that works where the signal doesn't
Your drivers install one app, choose your company once, and see only your jobs. Status updates, photos and signatures are captured at the door and queue on the phone when there is no signal, sending themselves the moment there is.

Your customers
The calls stop because the answer arrived first
Every job gets a tracking page the moment it is booked, in your name and your colours. It updates as the job moves, and it never reveals who actually drove — which matters on the work you subcontract.

Getting paid
The month invoices itself
Invoices are built from the jobs you actually delivered, on each client's agreed terms, with the proof of delivery attached. Nothing is retyped, so nothing is missed and nothing is billed twice.
Per-client terms and PO references
Card payment into your own Stripe
Everything exports to CSV

Built from the jobs themselves. Nothing retyped, so nothing missed.
And everything around it
The phone, WhatsApp, route planning, the Courier Exchange, Xero and QuickBooks — the rest of what a courier office runs on, in the same place.
Nothing here is exotic. It is the ordinary day of a courier firm, with the retyping and the ringing round taken out of it.

Built for operators, not for us
The decisions that are easy to get wrong when you are the one selling the software.
Your name on everything
Your customers, drivers and B2B clients see your company and nothing else — the portal, the tracking page, the emails, the invoices and the PODs. We are not mentioned anywhere they can reach.
Subcontracting treated as normal
Most systems assume every job goes to your own driver. Yours don't, so cost and margin are first-class on subcontracted and exchange work, and your customer's tracking page never reveals who actually drove.
A driver app on day one
One app on the Play Store serves every company here. Your drivers install it, pick your firm once, and are working — no per-company build, no waiting on us.
We cannot see your data
Support access is something you grant, for a set time, with a reason, from your own settings — and it appears in your own audit log. Nobody here can open your jobs on a whim.
An afternoon, not a project
There is no implementation phase, no data migration and no training day.
1
Sign up
Company name, your name, a password. You get your own web address and you are signed in — nobody approves anything.
2
Put your prices in
Your vehicle rates and mileage bands. Everything quotes from them: the website, the client portal, and the phone.
3
Add your drivers
They install the app and upload their documents. Anyone missing one cannot be allocated work until it is there.
4
Run a real job on it
Book it, allocate it, watch it move, capture the POD, invoice it. Most operators do this on day one.
Priced on the size of your fleet
Not per job, and not per user in your office. You should be able to have a busy month without it costing you more, and put a dispatcher on the system without thinking about it.

The questions worth asking
Including the one most software companies leave off their website.
What does it not do?+
It does not do payroll. It is not a telematics system — it tracks a driver while they are on shift and not otherwise, deliberately. And it puts a multi-drop round in a sensible order, but it is not a full fleet-planning tool that juggles dozens of vans at once.
Do I have to move my existing jobs into it?+
No, and we would not recommend it. Start booking new work in it from a Monday and let the old system finish what it has. Nothing needs migrating for you to be using it properly by the end of the week.
What happens to my data if I leave?+
It is yours. Every list in the product exports to CSV, and your invoices and PODs are downloadable. We do not delete an account that stops paying — access stops, the records stay, and paying again restores them exactly.
Can my customers pay by card?+
Yes, into your own Stripe account. You connect it in your settings and the money goes straight to you — it never passes through us.
Can I use my own web address?+
Yes. You get one the moment you sign up, and you can point your own domain at it later from your settings — one DNS record, and the screen tells you exactly what to type.
Who is behind it?+
Strategro Ltd, a UK company. The product was built for a working courier firm before it was sold to anyone, which is why it argues with you about driver compliance.
Run tomorrow's jobs on it
14 days free, everything switched on, no card. About a minute to set up, and nothing to uninstall if you do not get on with it.
